How to make honey mustard vinaigrette salad dressing.
Honey Mustard Salad Dressing
Today, we are making a delicious salad dressing recipe. Honey and mustard vinaigrette salad dressing.
The best way to make any recipe, in general, is by weight; measuring ingredients with spoons and cups varies in size from country to country. Use volume or weight even for liquids like salad.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup ( 125 ml ) extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons ( 30 ml ) white wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ( 15 ml ) honey
- 1 tablespoon ( 15 ml ) Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons ( 30 ml ) Grain Mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Whisk together the olive oil, white wine vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Bonus recipe flavouring tip:
- You can change the flavour of your salad dressing recipe using different kinds of vinegar. Red wine vinegar or black balsamic vinegar works well and has a different flavour. You can also use different mustards and oils to vary the flavour.
Tips:
- Start blending your dressing at room temperature.
- Let the honey, oil, and vinegar come up to room temperature or over 20°C/68F if refrigerated so it blends well.
- Be aware that the oil needs to be drizzled in slowly, or the dressing will break/curdle.
Additional notes:
- This honey mustard vinaigrette is excellent when used on most BBQ meats served with salad.
- Vinaigrette is excellent for helping the digestion of leafy salad leaves.
